POLICIES

Tuition Policy
 Tuition is due in full with registration. A $12 per-semester non-refundable registration fee is required with payment (whether by check or by credit card). If after the first class, you need to cancel, we will issue a tuition refund, less a $75 cancellation fee. After the first week of class, no refunds will be issued. All refund requests must be made either via e-mail or by calling our office.

Make-Up Policy
All make-up classes must be taken within the current term. Star Kidz does not reschedule classes that are canceled due to inclement weather. However, parents may call to schedule a make-up class for their child in any age-appropriate class (subject to space availability and Star Kidz approval).

With advanced notice, missed classes due to absenteeism or illness may be made up in any age-appropriate class (subject to space availability and Star Kidz approval). Tuition will not be reduced for missed classes.

Classroom Policies
Students should wear comfortable clothes to dance in. They can choose to remove shoes and socks during class. Parents and guardians should make every effort to ensure that students use bathroom facilities prior to the start of class.

Behavioral Policies
Please keep in mind that although you are coming for classes, Kol Ami has issued the following statement: "We encourage parents to bring small toys to keep kids occupied while they wait, and to monitor the behavior of all who attend." Please adhere to the following rules: No running; no touching of Kol Ami property, including the piano; and voices must be kept low while classes are in session. 

Star Kidz reserves the right to dismiss a student, without refund, whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of our Directors, is not in the best interest of the program.

Privacy Policy
 Star Kidz SA Inc. (“Star Kidz” or “we,” or “us”) fully respects the privacy concerns of visitors to the www.starkidzonline.com Web site, operated by Star Kidz. Therefore, we'd like you to know (i) the information that we collect; (ii) the steps we take to protect the information that you provide us; (iii) how we use that information; and (iv) when we share it with others.

Generally, we may collect from you the information that is described below, and use it for the purposes described below. You can limit the information that you provide us by not submitting the online request forms described below, in which case you will not be eligible for the service requested in the form.

This policy does not apply to, and Star Kidz is not responsible for, the privacy policies or practices of Web sites operated by others, even if they are linked to the Star Kidz Web site. If you choose to link to or from another Web site to or from the Star Kidz Web site, you should refer to that other Web site's privacy policy and practices. This policy does not apply to third-party content, except that we attempt to bind such third-party contributors to this policy. We do not promise to keep such third-party content private, or to keep private the identity of such third-party contributors.

Each Star Kidz location is independently operated by an institution other than Star Kidz, and Star Kidz cannot guarantee compliance by institutions with this Privacy Policy, although Star Kidz will attempt to require all locations to comply.

I. Information We Collect Automatically

If you visit the Star Kidz Web site or download information, we will automatically collect certain information (“Host Information”). This Host Information may include the:

  • + Name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet;
  • + Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using;
  • + Browser software you use and your operating system;
  • + Date and time you access the Star Kidz Web site; and the
  • + Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to the Star Kidz Web site.

A "cookie" is a small data file that a Web site can place on your computer for record-keeping, administration or to customize your experience. Cookies permit us and selected marketing partners to enhance your experience on our Web site and their Web sites. You may block or remove cookies on your computer by following the instructions on your Web browser.

Star Kidz may use the Host Information and cookies to manage and improve the Web site; to analyze customer and prospect trends; to track inquiries and purchases; to develop and contact you about products, services and promotions; to protect Star Kidz’s legal rights, or those of its customers and vendor partners; and for purposes required by law.

II. Personal Information You Choose to Provide to Us

A. Enrollment Information:
If you wish to enroll your child, you may do so by using http://www.starkidzonline.com/register, selecting a class day and time, completing the online form and either paying via credit/debit/PayPal or by mailing a check.

These pages may collect and send us or our vendor partners similar information (collectively “Enrollment Information”). The Star Kidz locations are independently operated by institutions. Your Enrollment Information may be used for the same purposes as Host Information as described above, and as follows:

  • Star Kidz may retain your Enrollment Information to contact you about:
    • (a) enrolling your child;
    • (b) upcoming classes, products and services, and promotions. We also use this Enrollment Information to improve the usefulness of our Web site, to communicate with you about our classes, events, promotions and opportunities.
  • Star Kidz may also share your Enrollment Information with third parties, but only as described in this Privacy Policy. Star Kidz may share your Enrollment Information with its selected vendor partners, which might be independent companies that may join us in promotions aimed at families with children. We will attempt to prohibit our vendor partners from using your Enrollment Information except to the extent necessary to fulfill their services to you, to our location institutions or to us. We may also share your Enrollment Information with other third parties, for example, when we need to share such Enrollment Information to:
    • (a) fulfill promotional obligations;
    • (b) process your credit card;
    • (c) provide a product or service you have requested;
    • (d) manage data or host a Web site; or
    • (e) respond to court orders.

B. Referral Information:
If you know a parent who would be interested in learning more about Star Kidz, you may refer him or her to Star Kidz by sending us an e-mail or by calling us at the phone number listed on our contact us page. Star Kidz or the location institution may use the referral information that you provide to notify the referred parent of your referral and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

C. Resume Information:
If you're interested in working at a Star Kidz location, you may e-mail us your resume or send it by U.S. Postal mail to the address posted on http://www.starkidzonline.com/locations.html. If you send your resume to Star Kidz, we may share your resume with our location institutions, but it will not rent, sell or otherwise disclose the personal information in your resume to any other third party. If Star Kidz sends your resume to a location institution or if you send your resume directly to one of our locations, Star Kidz will ask the institution to not rent, sell or otherwise disclose the personal information in your resume to any third party, but cannot guarantee that the location institution will not do so.

III. General Privacy and Security Policy Terms

A. Personal Information as an Asset of Star Kidz
The personal information you provide to us is an asset of Star Kidz. If all or part of Star Kidz or its assets are transferred or sold, your personal information may be transferred as well.

B. Children’s Privacy
Our Web sites is not for children under the age of 13. We will not knowingly accept personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13, and if we discover that we have accidentally done so, we will delete it. Children under the age of 13 must ask a parent or guardian to provide us any personal information online.

C. Security of Online Payment and Other Data
We care about the security of your personal information, and when you submit personal information, such as credit card information or child information, that information is encrypted and protected by Secure Sockets Layer Protocol (SSL) encryption technology and stored on our servers using standard security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information. However, no transmission over the Internet and no electronic data storage method is 100 percent secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the personal information you provide to Star Kidz, either during its transmission or its storage on Star Kidz's servers.

If you believe that the security of your data has been compromised, please notify Star Kidz immediately, and if it involves your credit card, immediately notify your credit card company in accordance with their policies.

We reserve the right to modify, alter or update this Privacy Policy at any time, so we encourage you to review this policy frequently in this space.
